Sudden Grey Hair and Hair Loss
by Adam
(England)
Hi,
I’m a 25 year old male, up until 2 months ago my hair was incredibly thick but within the last two months my hair has thinned.
Symptoms
Two months prior I was stressed over work I was about to lose my job which stressed me out.
I kept on getting cold after cold after cold.
My skin on my face and hands went dry and flaky. – (That has since got better)
I was getting cramp in legs – (now gone)
I was getting sharp pains in the side of my head which formed a grey patch on my hair. (Pains gone hair still grey)
20% of my hair turned grey within one month along with the rapid hair loss.
My hair went very dry and felt like wire – (slowly returning to normal feel)
Parts of my body have turned white, which dermatologist has diagnosed as vitiligo.
I also have a terrible itch that I can’t locate on my body which doesn’t go – it hits random parts all the time. (I’ve started taking antihistamines)
All the symptoms mentioned happened within a 2- 3month period, I’ve seen the doctor and dermatologist who have no answers I was just told you have male pattern baldness and vitiligo and that’s life. I also had blood test which came back fine. It has literally happened over night and that why I feel something else is wrong.
I’ve started taking Vitamin B complex, Cod liver oil and Vitamin C pills -
Also when I pull my nothing comes out and when a hair does there is a white bulb attached.
If you have any advice please get in contact.
Kind Regards,
Adam
Since the last picture take it doesn’t look as patchy.
Editor’s Comments,
Stress can sometimes be very dangerous and damaging to your health if left uncontrolled. Different people have different tolerance to stress and when you cross the threshold, it can trigger a spiral of health issues like vitiligo not to mention hair loss. A lot of autoimmune conditions are also a result from overexertion. So, the idea is, control stress and you can avoid many issues related to it.
We do hope that your condition improves as soon as possible and do update us if your hair condition improves. Keep in touch and all the best!
