Side effects of Nizoral

by Caroline
(U.K.)

No, I used Nizoral twice and I came out in Hives, redness of the face and mild hair loss. Although this is supposed to be rare it is important for this to be documented more fully.

I am a mother of 2 young children, so maybe mother's may be more vulnerable.

Editor's Comments,

Having Hives is indeed rare and you should stop using the shampoo immediately as it might not be suitable for you. Many drugs like Ketaconazole (Nizoral) can indeed cause side effects in a small portion of users so if you notice anything, you should stop and seek medical attention whenever possible.
