Review of Avalon Organics - Biotin B-Complex Thickening Shampoo

My wife has fine, thin hair but she is not facing any kind of hair loss problem and wanted a shampoo that could help add volume or thickness to her hair.

At the same time, the shampoo must be more healthy and contain less man made chemicals that are potentially harmful (i.e. less petrochemicals, free of parabens, SLS, etc) for long term reduction and prevention of hair loss. In checking the reviews I found that the Avalon Organics Biotin B-Complex Thickening Shampoo was highly rated so I bought it.

The shampoo is a rich yellow colour and to me smells like a combination of herbs with a mild citrus undertone. It lathers well and has good cleaning effect. For me, I noticed a bit of thickening effect after about 3 washes. For my wife it was after 2-3 weeks of use.

Of course there is still some hair loss while showering but I think it is less. Overall, we're happy with this shampoo.

About hair loss in showers, it’s pretty normal to lose around 50-100 hairs a day. This is part of the hair growth cycle as 10% of your hair are in the resting phase. In time to come, these fallen hairs will be replaced by newer hairs so there is practically nothing to worry about. Thanks again for your review.
