My Hair loss
by Eman
Hi my name is Eman and I’m a female, I have this problem of hair loss since I was 18 when I had typhoid for about one month's illness. I had very long black silky hair but after this illness almost more than half of my hair fell. I have seen my doctor she is giving me multi-vitamins and stress releasing medicine and it’s been few weeks now but no results, it’s getting worst what can I do :( Editor Comments Dear Eman, Your condition might be quite general and is probably related to stress. The reason why you are getting grey hairs is because your hair bulb not producing enough color pigment. Without the pigment, your hair will turn greyish. This can be caused be a lot of reasons like genetics, aging and stress itself. If your shedding is related to stress then, it will take at least 3 months to see a noticeable decrease in the activity. In the meanwhile, do continue to take your supplements as advised by your doctor and drink more water. You might also want to consider some Vitamin B Complex, which can help alleviate your hair problems and also stimulate your hair bulbs to produce pigment. Find ways to manage stress because if your hair loss is related to your work and other issues, it will continue if you don’t get hold of it. All the best.
