I WAS LOSING A LOT OF HAIR
by Sondra
I have finally figured it out from reading here. I had been in the hospital with double pneumonia w/MRSA, and had been trying to quit smoking, which I did on 9/9/09, and my hair started falling out then, I have always had very thick and long hair. So I was really scared, but I cut it which just about killed me, and now it is full and long again, but I’m getting ready to do interferon treatments that cause some to lose hair, I pray I don't. Also I have a question, I was searching to find an answer to my sisters hair loss, she is a diabetic and has a thyroid condition (hypo). Has anyone an answer for her? Editor’s Comments, Hi there, There are many factors that can trigger hair loss like age, diet, and health condition. Hypo thyroidism and diabetes both have the potential to cause premature hair loss in both women and men. The best way to manage hair loss under such circumstances is to monitor her health condition and by keeping both diabetes and hypo thyroidism in check. By regulation her health levels properly, she should be able to reduce hair loss to a certain extent. |
