Hair Loss Post Pneumonia
by Celia
I have managed to regain a good level of fitness and am back to playing squash (yes squash) to a good standard and swimming too. About 3 months after the illness I experienced sudden hair loss. The area around the hairline on my forehead and temples is the worst. I am taking vitamin supplements and have been since my illness. I have read that it takes time to recover from pneumonia and in some cases an entire year for the hair loss to subside. I do not have a thyroid problem, but was very anaemic when I left hospital. Any comments from fellow sufferers of what I believe is telogen effluvium ? Thanks, Celia |
