Hair Loss due to Depo.

by Crystal
(San Antonio)

I've been taking the Depo shot for the past year and I noticed that my hair has been falling out a lot. It's not just when I comb it, it's all the time. It's always on my clothes, in the car, and everywhere.......! I'm still on the shot, but I am not planning on getting my next shot.

The only other time I had this happen was when I was pregnant. It's really bad. I don't think there is a way to get around it because the hormones have to wear off. I suggest that you don't get on the Depo because this is a bad side effect. Other than that, it has helped with every other menstrual side effect. So, if you don't care about losing your hair, then I recommend it, but if not.........opt. for something else.
