Excessive and rapid hair loss in less than three months

I have always had an over abundance of hair, a ton of it as well as coarse so a double whammy as far as thick hair goes. And I have always shed like crazy even though it never affected the thickness of my hair, so I thought it was just normal for me personally. But I started noticing over the past 2 to 3 months that I was losing triple the amount of hair on a daily basis, and most recently that not only do I have a ton of breakage and my hair feels like straw,

I have had an excessive amount of hair loss. I could barely see my scalp through my part and now not only do I see it, when I run my fingers through my hair I can feel a huge difference in the amount of hair I have now. It is very thin and it is worrying me to no end. I am anxious and can't sleep. I do however have other symptoms and have battled depression and anxiety disorder as well as diagnosed with a pituitary tumor, do you have any ideas what could be causing this or if it may be connected to either of my ailments? Please advise, I am very scared its not going to grow back.
