What makes it work?

Antiandrogens are a group of compounds that block the androgen receptor sites like the hair follicle's receptors from interacting with androgens like DHT. Pattern Baldness occurs when DHT are converted from Testosterone, binds together with the androgen receptors in your hair follicles.

When applied topically, Spironolactone competes with DHT for the hair follicle's receptor site and preventing them from interacting. Without DHT clogging the receptors, it's free from any of its hair loss effects.

Antiandrogens do not stop the creation of DHT so it do not reduce the DHT levels in your body like Finasteride and Dustateride.

So what's the Side Effects?

There is no indicative side effects linking to 5% Topical Spironolactone. Because of its high metabolism rate, the product is absorbed directly into your hair follicles and metabolized before reaching the blood stream.

However, there are 1% of the people using this product might experience some rash over the scalp. This could be an allergic reaction towards this medication. You should discontinue use if you notice such problems or at least consult your doctor before resuming.

Who should take this?

Spirinolactone Hair Loss Lotion looks like a promising companion in your hair loss regimen. It's different from other medications because it does not promote hair growth or stop DHT. All it does is inhibits the effects of DHT by preventing it from blocking it reaching the receptors. So it's encouraged that if you are taking a hair loss regimen for Pattern Baldness to include this into your regimen for better effect. Since this product has no side effects its quite safe to use.

How should I use this product effectively?

The problem with Spironolactone Hair Loss Treatment Formula of 5% is that it's hard to obtain it commercially. What you can do is to ask your doctor to make out a concoction for you of you can get it from www.minoxidil.com. In most cases, the proper way to use it is once or twice daily, depending on your convenience.

Using the tip of your finger, apply the smallest amount necessary onto the areas of the scalp that shows thinning or recession of hair to obtain a thin film of lotion on the scalp. Gently massage the lotion into the scalp.

How much it costs you?

Since there is not a lot commercial products available for Topical Spironolactone , it's hard to do a proper price review. Based on the Dr. Lee's self made Spironolactone Hair Loss Lotion, you can probably get it for USD 32.95 for an 2 once jar.
