Who made this?
The inventor of this product is Dr. Alex Khadavi, MD who currently in private practice in the Los Angeles area and a clinical instructor of dermatology at the University of Southern California. His personal passion for hair loss which he himself suffers during his 20s lead to the formation of Advanced Skin and Hair, Inc.
The company has been around for years and selling its most famous product, Revivogen. The product popularity is amazing as word of mouth been passed around about the effectiveness or its ability to reverse hair loss and stop DHT.
What makes it work?
There are 3 new types of newly found potent DHT inhibitors which are
- Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA)
- Alpha Linolenic Acid (ALA)
- Linoleic Acid
These are all essential fatty acids found in plant oils. They have individually shown to inhibit the enzyme 5 Alpha Reductase(5AR) that converts Testosterone to DHT in your body. In fact, these 3 new minerals are more effective in inhibiting 5AR than most of others inhibitors in the market.
Azelaic Acid is a naturally occurring acid found in
- Cereals
- Rye
- Barley
- Animal products
Scientific studies show that when Azelaic Acid together with Vitamin B6 and Zinc Sulfate at low concentrations can achieve a remarkable 90% in subduing the 5 Alpha Reductase.
Procyanidin Oligomers are natural ingredients that can stimulate hair growth similar to Minoxidil. Japanese scientists have shown that this material can induce and shock the hair follicles back to the growth phase(ANAGEN).
Saw Palmetto Extract has been related to the treatment of Enlarged Prostate in men because it has potential DHT inhibition qualities.
What you have here a list of naturally potent DHT inhibitors that can potentially remove DHT from your scalp and free the hair follicles. Coupled with that, Procyanidin Oligomer acts as a 'natural' Minoxidil by stimulating your hair follicles growth.
So What are the Side Effects?
No known side effects have been attributed while using Revivogen.
Who should take this?
If you are afraid of the side effects of Propecia or Avodart, consider this your next best option to fight hair loss. This product should not be underestimated just because its not submitted to FDA for approval. Of course, if this product does not work for you, you can opt back to Propecia later.
However, women who wants to use this product should know that DHT inhibiting products like Saw Palmetto might not be that suitable for pregnancy. In whatever case, Revivogen through clinical studies has shown that the DHT inhibition is done at scalp level only as it does not enter the bloodstream. That makes it safe for women's use as well.
How should I use this product effectively?
Usually this product comes in a set of 3 consisting of
Scalp Therapy
Shake well before use. Apply 1-2 ml of the solution to the affected and surrounding areas of the scalp once daily. Gently massage the solution into the scalp for 10-20 seconds. Do not wash or rinse hair for at least three hours. For best results continue use on a daily basis. Store in a cool and dry place. Keep tightly closed. Results may vary.
Bio-Cleansing Shampoo
Apply to wet hair. Gently massage into the scalp and work into lather. Leave in for few minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Thickening Conditioner
Apply a small amount to wet hair after shampooing. Gently distribute through hair. For additional conditioning, leave in 2-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Within 2-4 Weeks of using Revivogen some users may experience increased hair shedding. This is a good sign and means that the product is working. The shedding occurs because Revivogen activates the hair follicle's growth cycle. The hairs that are in Transition and Resting phase fall and the hair follicle goes into a new growth phase producing a new, healthy hair.
How much it costs you?
If this treatment works for you, you should continue to use it for as long as possible. If you stop the DHT inhibition, your hair loss will come back again.
A typical set of Revivogen will costs you around USD 119 and will probably lasts you 30 - 45 days depending on how you use it. If it works then you won't need to worry about other regimens.
