There is a lot of talk about Procerin, a recent addition to the family of hair loss products. So what are all these hypes about? Maybe people have the idea that this product contains an arsenal of natural hair loss prevention ingredients needed to treat hair loss. However, what it contains are what we call potential DHT inhibition supplements, which may not be a credible hair loss cure.

Who made this?

Not much is known about the manufacturers of the products. However, this product is currently distributed by Speedwinds Nutrition Inc. Its address is located at 818 Sw 3rd Ave, Suite # 220 Portland, Oregon, 97204-2405 U.S.A. From what I can see this is a quite relatively new company that just started involving in the hair loss industry.

What makes it work?

The ingredients are a list of vitamins and minerals that are said to stop DHT, the principal cause of Pattern Baldness. The lists of ingredients are

• Saw Palmetto Berries: 1500mg (the active ingredient)
  This is main ingredient behind Procerin. Studies show that Saw Palmetto can block the enzyme 5 Alpha Reductase from forming DHT. It also acts as an anti-androgen that can prevent DHT from bonding with the hair follicle's receptor site.
• Zinc(Zinc Sulfate) 15mg and ,Pyroxidine 5mg coupled with Vitamin B6(Pyroxidine)
  Together show studies show they can inhibit the formation of DHT in the skin. No scientific evidence shows that it can help Androgenic Alopecia or Pattern Baldness.
• Magnesium(Magnesium Oxide): 150mg
  Some studies show that Magnesium oxide at a small quantity can aid in stimulating hair growth. (but it does not prevent Pattern Baldness)
• Proprietary Blend of Gotu Kola, Nettle Root, Pumpkin Seed, Eleuthero Root, Muira Puma Root, Uva Ursi: 30mg
  What we have here is a group of herbs that if taken at a right dosage, it brings beneficial effects on your health.

• Nettle Root for arthrithis, asthma problems and possible hair stimulation.
• Pumpkin seed can reduce DHT binding with the androgen receptors and improve people suffering from prostate problems.
• Eleuthrero Root, a member of the ginseng family can help with blood circulation, increase memory and promote healthy nails and hair.
• Urva Ursi helps with reducing water retention in your body.
• Maria Purma is good for stress reduction and improves your body's metabolism.
• Horsetail is said to promote healthy hair growth by promoting blood circulation to the scalp and unclogging pores.
• Gotu Kola has been found to promote faster hair growth. It is now currently been researched for any effects on Pattern Baldness.

The ingredients consists mainly of herbs and vitamins that can trigger and bring health benefits to your body and as well as your skin. The problem is, they do not cure or reverse hair loss. What you can expect the best is that if you take this herbs at a correct dosage, you get an added advantage in your struggle with hair loss.

So What are the Side Effects?

Although what you are looking at is an all herbal solution, herbs do have side effects. As herbs can bring positive effects to the body, they can also lead to negative outcomes as well.

Saw Palmetto is a potential DHT inhibitor. It blocks the 5 Alpha Enzyme from converting Testosterone to DHT. It is not suitable for women because this herb might cause complications during pregnancy since the effects are similar to Propecia. Further to that, taking Saw Palmetto might lead to medical symptoms such as

Only men should ever consider this treatment. Since its method of action is blocking DHT, its not suitable for women. Bear in mind that none of the ingredients above have been proven to reverse hair loss. While there are some research on the possibilities of some of the herbs can help in reducing hair loss or improve hair quality, none not even Saw Palmetto has shown credible evidence as a stand alone remedy for hair loss.

How should I use this product effectively?

Take 1 tablet with water each morning and 2 tablets each night before sleeping. If you are having stomach discomfort, take it after your meal.

Ask your your medical consultant before taking Procerin. Indicate to him/her about the herbs and its dosage amount. Some of these herbs can create reaction with other medications you are taking or if you are suffering from a medical condition.

It's also best to keep it out of reach from children and women.

Procerin will costs you USD 26 - USD 30 a month and you can get it online. Since this is a herbal suppplement, a prescription is not needed. I would say this is a 100% natural product and most of the contents can be purchased individually from any pharmacies.

In my Opinion

Skip this one. If you want to buy Procerin, I do advise you to look for better vitamin supplements or try Revivogen instead. There are no clinical studies that proves that the ingredients inside Procerin can reverse hair loss let alone stopping it.

Well I am not implying that it make not work for you. It may or may not. Just that if you want to invest your cash on an unproven herbal treatment, it's better for you to try products with better track records and positive feedbacks.
