![]() The Ludwig Scale is divided mainly into 4 stages with stage 4 as advanced hair loss. Take a mirror and check whether you are having a hair condition similar to the scale. Scale 1This level defines the overall thinning of your hair around the scalp region. Though you cannot notice the thinning at all from the front, you can notice some thinning from the top of the scalp. Recommendations
Scale 2Stage 2 shows that more thinning of the scalp as the bald area is much more noticeable. It might not still be noticeable enough to be diagnosed. However, it's best to seek treatment when it reaches this stage to facilitate treatment better. Recommendations
Scale 3At this point, the hair from the crown diffuses further to the side of your head. It baldness in the center will be increase in diameter. It will be quite obvious to notice at any angle. Recommendations
Scale 4 (Advanced Stage)When you reach this point in the scale, the balding can move towards your frontal lobe or remain to recede around your crown area. It will eventually makes a circular shape on top showing excessive baldness. Effective medical treatment will be difficult at this stage. Recommendations
