Male Pattern Baldness -- How does it happen?

Male Pattern Baldness, which is the most common hair loss condition suffered by men is also one of the most misunderstood one. Some people believe that it’s caused by wearing hats or using certain shampoo or maybe they are combing their hair too much. All these hair loss myths are things of the past and you should really know what is happening. Male Pattern Baldness is mainly caused by DihydroTestosterone or DHT that accumulates and shrink the hair follicles and it only happens to people that have a defective gene from either side of their family. Take a look at what this short video has to say about MPB.

Side Effects of Synthetic Estrogen

One of the most common e-mails I received pertaining to hair loss are from women that use oral birth contraceptives, or birth control pills. I am shocked to know that a lot of women that are on the pill face a period of hair loss but they are still contemplating on it. Certain birth control pills DO CAUSE hair loss and it’s listed in their list of side effects. Some might not but since all birth control pills are hormone modifiers, it can affect your body’s natural rhythm and that might lead to unnecessary hair loss or poor hair growth. If there is another out of it, I would definitely recommend women not to use birth control pills regularly to prevent unnecessary hair loss.
